So, it's 19:45 now, as we're driving... It's dark (sunset was
at 19:03, according to the GPS receiver). Kenta is calling
somebody (girlfriend? I don't know) and telling them about the
clue we just solved.

It was a pretty cool clue, really... A home-made chocolate bar
(sound familiar?) with some white chocolate or similar substance
in the middle that made up the various letters for our next
clue. It took us (well, me, really) quite a while to shave it
down, but after Chris and Kenta all but destroying our first
bar, and being allowed a second change by GCON, I didn't want to
take any chances that we'd destroy another one. John is lying
down again, but I don't think he's asleep, as there are some
noises of shuffling coming from back there.

At 19:48 we've just turned on to 128, which we're taking quite
slowly for fear that it will be windy, possibly animal filled,
etc.

Chris sighs. I think we're all a bit tired, especially after
our excursions at the Spring Lake park... And I don't know
about the rest of the group, but I only got about 2 hours of
sleep last night. ;-)

On the logistics side of things, we've been running into several
problems... our net connection is of course still non-existant,
the power inverters are periodically complaining, presumably
about not enough power and/or too much draw, even though we've
unplugged about as much as we could for any non essential items
(like the mini-hub and the ricochet, since we're out of range
anyway, etc.); and the van... well, the van seems to be falling
apart as we use it. Out in front of the Alhambra plant we had
the first exposure to this problem... It took us probably 20
minutes just to close the van door. Since then, we've been able
to figure out how to finesse it so that we can actually open and
close it fairly reliably, but it takes some delicasy, etc.

We've now got about a mile and quarter to go... so we'll see
what we find!

We're here! so are lots of others. looks like a clue for our
listening box.

OK, we have a metal disk with a spiral of magnetic bumps on it.

Some repel, some attract.

we're taking a sharpee and marking the ones that attract.
Or rather, "the ones that are most attractive to me [kenta]".

Specifically, the ones that are attractive when the bookmark is
face down.

010011010100111101001110

0100 1101 0100 1111 0100 1110

etc.

So, assuming this is 8-bit ASCII, we come up with:

MONTICELLODAMGLORYHOLE

Or, more legibly:

Monticello Dam Glory Hole

We found a Monticello Dam in Napa County.

20 miles out along highway 128.

So, we're headed that way...

Towards 38.30'43.2"N, 122.06'12.7"W...
